AFDC Workshop on "Accounting Reform and Opening-up" Launched in Shanghai
The AFDC Workshop addressing "Accounting Reform and Opening-up" was staged from May 22 to 26 at Shanghai National Accounting Institute. Cosponsored by China's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and organized by Asia-Pacific Finance and Development Center (AFDC), the workshop had 40 delegates including officials, scholars and entrepreneurs from 10 Asia-Pacific economies present to share their experiences in accounting reform and opening-up in their own economies. Problems encountered as they fight for the tough cause were also discussed during the time. The five-day workshop closed as a great help in enhancing the mutual understanding among the economies and in strengthening the capacity building in the accounting area in each economy-especially those developing ones.
