AFDC 2010 Working Seminar held in Hangzhou
AFDC Annual Working Seminar was held on April 1 in Hangzhou. Leaders of SNAI and all the staff members of the AFDC attended the meeting.
Dr. Peng Runzhong, on behalf of the Shanghai-based AFDC head office, briefly summarized the AFDC’s history since its establishment in 2001. He also made an in-depth analysis of the internal and external opportunities and challenges facing AFDC, and provided thoughts on its future development for discussion. Mr. Wu Wei, on behalf of the AFDC Beijing Office, then introduced their research achievements in the past year. Deputy Director-General Mr. Yang Jinlin added that the AFDC should have a clear strategic orientation and a forward-looking vision so as to further expand its influence in China as well as the whole region. Following that, all the other department heads and representatives gave their comments and insightful suggestions and recommendations on the AFDC’s development from their respective perspectives.
The conference was concluded by Prof. Xia Dawei, Director-General of the AFDC. Apart from all the good suggestions proposed at the meeting, he emphasized that we should further expand cooperation with more international organizations, refine internal management and try our best to achieve wider influence in the region and faster development in the years ahead.
