Comments & Suggestions of Participants in SHIPDET(2007-2009)

>>SHIPDET opened the window for greater understanding of how development activities need to be managed. The results management and the process of RBM is the key success for any development work in the world. This is what I learned from SHIPDET. It helped me to incorporate these principles into our National Development Framework. It worked very well. It was a very good experience. Basically, I would say that SHIPDET helped us to build foundation for RBM in Afghanistan.More fellowships or scholarships for countries like Afghanistan are needed. We'd like to send more people to attend SHIPDET if possible but we need some funds to secure their attendance fee and travel costs. This is very much important for us.

>>From time to time, I would like to see SHIPDET reasonably priced training workshops or courses that aim to update past SHIPDETERs on special development evaluation topics including their practical applications . Ideally these courses should not be embedded in the core training course of SHIPDET's annual program

>>The SHIPDET training program can be further improved by enhancing its structure. Special topics such as impact evaluation could be better appreciated if these are presented separately from the training proper. Otherwise if these are to be incorporated in the SHIPDET training program, I suggest that the special topic be presented after a relevant theory is discussed to avoid confusion among the participants.

>>Opprtunity should be given to past participants to broaden their scope at the IPDET training in Canada. Opportunity and scholarships should be granted to participants from the African region to attend. At least five past participants from the previous training should be invited to share their experiences during the next training session.

>>Thank you for a well organized workshop. I would like to present a paper at the next SHIPDET if possible.
