The Core Course of the 2012 Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training opened in SNAI
The core course of 2012 Shanghai International Program for Development Evaluation Training was officially open at the Shanghai National Accounting Institute on November 26. About 40 participants from about 10 countries such as Bangladesh, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kyrgyz, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and so on in the region will attend the 7-day introductory course designed to meet the needs of mid-level evaluaiton and audit professionals working in developing country governments, bilateral and multilateral development agencies, or non-governmental organizations.
The Director General of AFDC, Mr. Li Kouqing, the lead professional of IED, ADB, Ms. Suganya Hutaserani as well as the faculty team attended the opening ceremony, which chaired by the director of AFDC, Dr. Peng Runzhong.
This training event is the seventh of its kind in the area of performance evaluation organized by AFDC since this year. Dr. Linda Morra Imas, advisor of IEG, WB and Dr. Bradley Cousins, professor from the University of Ottawa are the main instructors of the core course, who will introduce the core concept of development evaluation and cover the basic methodologies of monitoring and evaluation.
