SHIPDET First Alumni Experience Sharing Workshop held at SNAI
After 5 years’ operation, SHIPDET has provided quality training in M&E, impact evaluation and performance budgeting for about 1400 government officials in the area of finance, planning and budgeting from more than 20 countries.
In order to better meet the various learning needs and promote experience sharing and network building among alumni, the organizers of SHIPDET, for the first time organized an experience sharing workshop from December 8-9, 2012 at the SNAI. The alumni whose theses were selected by the expert panel were invited back to SHIPDET again to share their experience and challenges faced in conducting evaluation and applying what they have learnt to real work.
About 30 participants from central Asia, South Asia, the Pacific and Africa attended this workshop, chaired by the director of ADB, Ms. Walter Kolkma, the head of CLEAR Secretariat, Ms.Nidhi Khattri, the lead professional from ADB, Ms. Suganya Hutaserani as well as the expert from AFDC, Ms. Zhao min.
The workshop is a try-out for the organizers to bring back the alumni in order to evaluate the results of the training courses as well as listen to the feedbacks from the participants to improve the quality and scope of the training. Such events will continue to be carried out regularly in the future.
